OCRA/DFMA 2009 Field Day

The actual contest runs from 2:00pm Saturday  June 27 thru 2:00pm Sunday June 28.

Setup takes place  Friday afternoon (no earlier than 2:00pm) and evening and/or Saturday Morning.

This year we are joining the OCRA Field Day. [click here for OCRA web site]   OCRA has a very strong Field Day tradition and has scored very well in the QRP/Battery divisions of the Field Day contest.  In the last few years there have been at least 6 stations.

Some participants will camp out.  Saturday Dinner (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc)  and Sunday Brunch (pancakes, sausage, etc) will be available at $5 per person per meal. Soft drinks and water will be available during the whole event at no charge.  Bug repellent and sun screen are highly recommended.

This year, Field Day will be held at the site of the future New Hope Park.  It is located on the West side of NC86 just North of the intersection with New Hope Church Rd, Hillsborough (near New Hope Elementary School).  [click here for map]

Contact W4SAR, Dave (Field Day Coordinator) or W4BOH, Wilson, to set up a station (i.e., become a "Band Captain"), to help operate a station,  to volunteer to help in general,  or just to get more information.
